Hi,

I wish to config. two dm 500s in my house using SCAM.
cannot find anywhere on how to config. the server and client using SCAM.
can anyone advise me with the lines to use please.

Should be setup along these lines

# scam host

#/net/ecm_server/foobar/pass=password

# scam client
#/net/ecm_client/foobar/host=192.168.1.xxx
#/net/ecm_client/foobar/port=1234
#/net/ecm_client/foobar/pass=password

thanks for reply Pawnee, but still cant seem to get it to work.
am i correct in assuming u remove the # as in cccam config.


so this would be my host line

scam host
/net/ecm_server/foobar/port=1234
/net/ecm_server/foobar/pass=password

and this my client line

scam client
/net/ecm_client/foobar/host=192.168.1.106
/net/ecm_client/foobar/port=1234
/net/ecm_client/foobar/pass=password

seems simple enough but does not seem to work.

Yes that would be correct,

On the host box only use the host section leave the client side commented out, ie leave the # in front of the client entries.

On the client box use only the client section and make sure the ip address is the correct ip of the host box, the port is the same and the password the same in both cases.

Also make sure to forward the chosen port in your router to the ip of the host.

i am not using a router, just a crossover cable, would the ports still be 1234?
