i never have done in cfg and all still works after changing pass with telnet
If you mean the cccam.config password for logging in to the cccam info through the web interface over port 16001.
This will not change if you telnet and use passwd, as this changes only the box password.
there is no default password set for cccam config webinfo or telnet, these are set by ftp into the eagle and editing cccam.config
# The webinfo service can be protected with a username and password.
# This is switched off by default
#
#WEBINFO USERNAME : <username>
#WEBINFO PASSWORD : <password>
# The telnetinfo service can be protected with a username and password.
# This is switched off by default
#
#TELNETINFO USERNAME : <username>
#TELNETINFO PASSWORD : <password>
Thanks for your help guys all cleared up now
