Hello guys,
Just wondering if someone can answers few questions reagrding multicas & cccam on Azbox.

Currently am running FW 2371 with EMU cccam 2.0.4, every thing is ok at the moment, though at times my cs will take few secs to clear or appear scrambled if going from Home to TV.

So after reading posts about how latest multicas is even better than cccam 204 / 211, I started wondering if I should upgrade both FW with multicas. So my question is, if I do upgrade to new FW say 3686 with lastest multicas, all I need to do is backup my channel list and cccam.cfg and then format application area, then upgrade to new FW and install multicas. OR can I keep my FW version and install multicase making it the first emu in the list, OR should i do a clean install.

tks all

You will need to upgrade your firmware to get multicas to work as it will not work with your current firmware, so back up what you need to and format the application area then after flashing install multicas.

Cheers Pawnee,
but after upgrading my FW can I still have both emu 'multicas & cccam 2.0.4'
Lastly, is there any thing much improved with the multicas?

Multicas is far superior to CCcam 2.0.4. They will not work together. Remove CCcam 2.0.4 completely and use MultiCAS.

Thanks -
just wondering - the use of 'format application area' should remove any previous cccam installed on stb right?
Lastly, selecting 'download executable' via Openxcas will or should create the required files and all I need to do is ftp my cccam.cfg into the multicas folder.

FTP'ing a cccam.cfg file into the MultiCAS folder won't be enough. You have to load the cccam.cfg file into the splitterdata.bin file using the blue button "Load Configuration" in the CCcam setup.

The you can even delete the cccam.cfg file. It won't be needed again until you want to change something, or reload Multicas.

It will be confising until you actually install multicas. Don't worry, it's not half as daunting as it seems. :D
