I don't have a way of connecting my dm500 to my router when it's upstairs. I do however have a wireless laptop.......

Is there a way of taking the internet connection via the laptop?

No that won't work.

However there are two solutions that can work,

1. A wireless game adapter, allows the dm500 to connect to the adapter ny ethernet cable and to the network by wireless
