View Full Version : Nagra on 1 West
I have recently noticed that most of the channels on 1 West are disappearing, and changing from Nag2 to Nag3. Would you be able to advise me as to the best method that I could use Nag3. I have a Diablo 2.3 Cam, An old Technomate 1500+ and a 80cm dish with a Universal Lnb.

I am afraid both your receiver and cam are quite old technology now and N3 is not hacked. The satellite hobby is now turning to newer technology receivers requiring an internet connection.
Have a good read around here;

Hello, I am sorry for not having got back to you sooner, but I have been rather tied up with a dispute that I am having with ebay.
Thank you for replying to my previous question. I did realise that my satellite equipment was a bit on the inadequate side of things, but it was worth a try. I was however hoping that the 2.3 cam would save the day, as I have not had it for that long.
If only I knew what would be the best receiver to get for value for money, there are just so many to choose from, it is quite bewildering to a novice like me on a very limited budget. I would be most grateful if you could assist me in that regard. The Spider box is so out of my budget at present.
Just to let you know, I am on the internet, maybe that will be somewhat of a help to you in guiding me what I should buy. Many thanks.
Kind regards Leo.

You could sell the cam and also the TM1500 as a FTA receiver. Put the money towards a lower spec and priced spiderbox 5000 SD and Gift+.
Alternatively, you could look at an Eagle linux receiver but to setup this would require a reasonable knowledge of linux, networking, a good deal of reading by yourself and plenty of patience. There are members on the forum with plenty of experience to help.
Also, with this either receiver, have a read around this section;

The first receiver option would probably be the easier.
Please start a new thread in the relevant discussion section for whatever receiver you require info on as this thread is now going off topic.
