I was wondering what will happen when the Gift runs out in a year.. Has anyone had there Spiderbox for a year to find Out.. Or do we have to buy another box at the end of a year ?????

Any update to this now that we are midway through November?
I got one of the first it was ordered in Nov when they first
went on sale but that was pre-order they were delivered in
Dec. NuvoExstream on mine is dated to die 6/12/10
but the Service+ has no date we will know begining of
Dec with a bit of luck the Nuvo will die and the Sevice+ stay
connected :y6: Time will tell
My expire in Dec, 14.
But till now is a great box, for non linux based box.
Very easy to setup, and very familiar to use.
Just had a chat with a guy on another forum
and if what he says is correct his spider is now over 12 months
and the nuvo had expired but he had never used the service+
just talked him throught getting it connected and it connected fine
so we live in hope :blow out candles:

My Spiderbox had run out of date and i did ask for help which they did give me thank you ! as i did not have service +

4 Press Register

service + should rollover from the gift package as long as you have set it up...
My spiderbox in now 12 month old the Nuvo has expired
but the service+ is still working but how long it will last ???
There has been a post by DM saying there will be an option
avalable in January so its wait and see and enjoy the channels
in Service+ for free as long as they last :D
Lets not forget there are other options as well as Service+ which I can not go into any detail about, but at the moment I am enjoying that service also :big grin:

It has gone a year since, in my house Spiderbox came... Based on this, I wanted to write something about this box:
- It is very easy to setup&use.
- There is a support, from an offical site,that other receiver doesn’t have
- Excellent image quality (HDMI included)
- Reasonable price
So, it is a receiver who I would suggest to any family and fan of satellite receivers.
Even today, after a year, I will buy Spiderbox 9000HD!
yes also i rarely use Service+ altho' i do have that option after 12 months i use spiderbox card reader and have enuff pleasure from my Tring+ card without the need to be greedy Tring tv gives me everything i need im very pleased with my spiderbox even after 12+ months it still has unique features that no other stb has or maybbe ever will have in my honest opinion , i agree with previous poster easy set up and offers plenty and is not really over expensive so therefor offers excellent value for money 10/10 rating i give spiderbox9000HD and at the moment no other sat box offers as much .

Service+ has extended past the date when the gift expired for all users. It will not last forever. Service+ on new boxes will last 12 months. Users whose Nuevoxstream has already expired and are still enjoying the connection to service+ may consider that a bonus.
There will be an announcement when procedures are in place to allow extensions of the gift to be acquired. The method has yet to be determined.
so what happens when service+ disappears? do we have to pay a sub or something? or will there be something else?

Service+ will not disappear unless it is replaced by something else.
There are people who bought the spider over 12 months ago (past the Gift expiry) and are still now viewing service+.
We will have to wait and see what happens in the future. For now just enjoy what is given.
In the meantime and looking to the future, there are other options available.
