Why would we want to change the password on our Eagle?

Well if you are connected to a router to access say the gemini server then its safer to change it.

Uses

Telnet is capable among other thing of changing your Eagle Password.

How to use!

Ensure Telnet port 23 is open on your router.

Enter your Ip address and click open.

At the Dreambox login type root for both Eagle or Dm and enter.

At password prompt type Eagle if you have a Eagle. And Dreambox for a DM and enter.

At the root@dreambox promt type passwd and enter.

Now enter a new password with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 and enter.And then repeat

Job done

Two things to note at any of the password prompt in puttytel the cursor will not move with key input.

And now your password has changed you will need to alter the password in you FPT programmes ect.
