View Full Version : Port Forwarding - BT Home Hub
Looking for help on Port Fowarding and how to set it up. I know I need to go into Advanced Settings - Application Sharing - Supported Applications but get stuck on the PORT Range, Translate to and Trigger Port boxes and what needs to be filled in. I am also not sure as to when the IP address of the Eagle box comes into it.
Any ideas?
cheers
Not really familiar with this router mate. But have a look under devices or IP addresses, i think your port-forwarding in applications only which will open ports to your PC not your Eagle.

When you get to this stage, follow this
Protocol = UDP - TCP - Any you can leave it at any for most apps you require on the Eagle
Port Range = A single port or a range of ports you want to open, for a single port (FTP in the example above) enter the same number in the top and bottom box and the same in the translation box.
For a range of ports insert the starting port on the top and the finish port range on the bottom
Example port 15000 to 15400 and translate to whatever port you want in the range and a trigger port on or off, you can ignore this section for single ports and set it as above with you chosen port instead of 21.
make sure to press apply
Then on this screen:

Use the Device box to choose a computer to forward ports to. This box contains a list of computer names that are visible on your network if the ip of the Eagle is not here type it in. Select the application you created using the Game or Application drop down box. Then click Add to enable it.
And that is it! You are done!
