Multiboot problems

i'm having dificulty with dm600hd. at first i hade jade pli image which worked for a few hours the ceased. i took it out and have had 3 different images in but the boxwill only boot up and i cannot get passed dvi setting in wizard.is it possible the wizard has been corrupted by the images.could you advise how i could correct this or does it look like a faulty box.

Reply I persume you mean you have a dm800HD and not a 600HD as you mention in your post, can you clarify that.

Also let us know what image you have currently in flash, as this image needs to be keep up to date with drivers in case it causes conflicts with newer images in multiboot.

Not sure it is faulty mate.

My advice would be to flash it with the latest Original image, then reflash with your image of choice after comfirming the original image works, if you can not find this im sure one of us can upload it for you. I would do this via DreamUp if possible although it will take a long time to complete the flash. If not then the web interface method .

You say you can not get by the DVI wizard! Can you explain is the remote not function or is the wizard just going through all the output options?

thanks very much for your reply. it turned out that the turner was faulty in the dm800 so i've got a replacement. . ivejust downloaded niablo sat o.9 which lokks like a great imagebut there is no cccam and it cannot be downloaded via add ons. is it possible to download cccam209and 2011 separately and feed into the box via either dreamup or dccv295

with nabilo you can download the cam and key all what you need from nabilo server strait to you DM..

thanks i know you can normally but for some reason ther are not available via the plug in or addons. i wanted know whether i could download cccam2011 and transfer into the box another way

I have niablo 0.9 on my DM800hd and can use the download server to download cams.

Make sure your network settings are correct.

Press the "green" button, next the "yellow" button and finally "Addons Download Manager" now in the menu you should have Nabilo E2 Image Cams".

hello again, thank you everyone for the replies. after having had a number of images in the dm800hd which did not work in full, i now have the newnigma image which does work but in the past two days the machine has been switching itself off during the watching of football the last two nights.i then switch back,after removing power supply but it took a number of attempts to get it to work and i had to go to restore which deleted some software before i could get it to work again. i have also had problems with the unit failing to read cccam209 and 2011 and the only remedy seems to be to remove thhe power source and then reboot. for some reason when the power source is removed then reconnected to the unit it takes three or four attempts before the power connects and boot up is performed. i have tried with another external power pack but the same thing happens. i was wondering whether this has any connection with the image or on the other hand is it possible the power connection on the back of the unit is at fault

Hi would suggest that you return the unit to the supplier as it is clearly faulty and you have tried to remedy the cause without success.

There definitely appears to be a hardware issue with your stb and it is not working correctly.

i am agree with Pawnee you may have hardware issue but the IMAGE in flash is playing a big role as well
found last 0oz0one got very good driver you should try that before make a conclusion...

thanks for your reply. from another forum it would appear that there is a problem with dm800hd power supply connection on the unit. apparently this is a design fault and the need to constantly connected and reconnect the power supply and can be corrected by adjustment of the spring inside the of the connector within the unit. i would not attempt to this as it would invalidate the one year warranty but i will bring this to the attention of the shop from which i purchased it. i was wondering what percentage of members on this forum have had this problem. as this unit as two usb inputs is it possible to put the original image into the main body of the unit and a third party image on a usb stick.my supplier has said i should put the original image back into the unit to stabilize it but as far as i am aware the unit could only then operate on a free to air basis as Cccam is not present. i take it is not possible to have more than one image in the unit at any one time.as stated above however i think it is a hardware and not software problem. on a different subject i see there is a linux unit abip 9000hd with a 500gb pvr for round about the same price as the dm800hdpvr. do you know whether this unit would take dreambox images and could cccam operate with this image or its own appropriate image.

You can use the original image in flash and use multiboot images, but unless the original image contains the lates drives it will conflict whit the images in multiboot.

So once you have the original image in flash update the drivers from here:

Then set up the multiboot image.

Having said all that I would still look for an exchage form the supplier as it is still a hardware fault.

thanks. just so i've got it clear in my mind. 1 put original image back in in normal manner 2 ftp new drivers as above. 3 multiboot image not sure on this one. is this any of the appropriate dm800 images and can i put this over original image via dreamup or is it via usb stick in the back of the unit. sorry i'm not much of a techie. is there some reading on multiboot images.

Sort out the flash image first (original image) then update the drivers.

Once that is sorted then install the plugin Barry Allen for multiboot images:

i just tested the 0oz0one IMAGE in flash on my DM8000 is very very good i can tell you there is very good driver and you can download all the plug in for me work perfect and got nabilo in multiboot all very well if you want to try the 0oz0one see if sort you prob

thanks putting oozon image in now. could you advise of how i get CCcam.cfg to work via dreambox control centre 295. i've gone via var then etc transfered file across via arrow key from right to left on my eagle box but it does not work, are there some further entries or action to be taken via telenet to get the file to work. i will have to perform the same task with dm800hd when i have the image in. i take dm800 will work ok with this image alone

further to above now have oozone image on dm800. seems to be a lot of different things on it but no plugin where cccam can be downloaded. can you advise of how i obtain cccam please. i have download both software updates and barryallen from the plug ins do i have to download a further image to usb stick and ifso which one would you recommend ie an image where cccam can be downloaded via pluginns

You do not need to setup the Oozoon image with cccam etc, as you are just going to use it for a base image and this is a cvs image. Install Barry Allen and install images in multiboot and then setup these images with whatever plugins you require.

2) Installation

First boot from Flash and then copy the file
enigma2-plugin-extensions-barryallen*.ipk
to /tmp with ftp (TCP/IP must be working already).

If you have an image in Flash that offers a Blue
Panel Manual Add-on Install, then you can use this
functionality to install the ipk file.

If not, then install Barry Allen by entering the
following commands in a Telnet session:

cd /
ipkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-barryallen*.ipk

Then restart enigma2 and the Barry Allen Plugin
shoudl show up under Games / Plugins.

In the Images installed by Barry Allen you don't have
to install the Barry Allen Plugin anymore.
The Barry Allen Plugin integrates himself into then
automatically during the image extract.

And you can remove Barry Allen if you are booted
from Flash:

There is now the enigma2 Plugin of Barry Allen included
under Games / Plugins of the enigma2 menu,
which offers the full functionality of Barry Allen.

For extracting of nfi images in Barry Allen copy the
image files to /MB_Images (normally a link to
/media/hdd/MB_Images created during Barry Allen
installation)

If there are Problems with image extraction or other tasks
with the enigma2 plugin try doing it in telnet:

cd /media/ba
ba.sh extract nameoftheimage

On the next reboot this new Image should be available
in the bootmanager for choosing to boot it and then it
can be customized and used as usual.

The Bootmanager now should remember the last booted
image and hence recordings from Deepstandby should work
now.

many thanks . i installed barry allen and then newnigma as a secondary image. the box is working ok but it refuses to tune some channels ie the hd moviechannels on 28 east and some of the spannish movie channels on 19 east. is there a channel list from 42 east to 30w which i could ftp via dcc295 in the same way as the secondary image or advise how it could be done . many thanks

is it possible to have CCcam ttp via etc in dcc295 with orginal image. mb image as disappeared from the options in my dcc295 . is there another way of ftping a secondary image with dcc295

DCC, should only ftp into the currently booted image whether it is the flash image or multiboot image.

hello. i had problems with my internet connection which have now been resolved but now dcc295 will not connect and i've lost ip from dm800hd.wirless channel for bufalo eyhrtnet buffalo set up ok. any advice on how to reconnect would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Check you current network settings on the DM800, if you are not connecting then activate dhcp in the network settings and see if you can connect to you network if yes then disable dhcp and use the ip that worked when it was activated.

If this works then adjust dcc settings to to match the ip and you should be ok.

i've tried that but it does not work.is there any way of checking whether the ethernet bridge buffalo is working correctly.is then another tool i could use that is simple to ftp.i can't understand why it will not work when wireless network set up ok and internet now back on ok following a phone call to the provider.when i try to ftp iget a message saying 10057error. at the bottom of the scrren it says telnet not connected. how do i connect this please as previously it has automaticaly connect when dcc295 opened. ftp does not connect either.

if you ftp a new cam via dcc295 is it var that should be used. as although it will ftp ok the new cam is not shown in the image.the only image i can find where the blue button works to download cam is the newnigma 2.niablo etc do not contain cams and not available via blue button on my dm800

Nabilo does have a download server for cams etc mate but it uses a different combination of buttons to get there.

thanks for the replies but as my dm800hd has a recorder in it, pressing the buttons suggested brings up one of the recording functions. should the butons to be pressed differ in the case of my box. i can get into plug inns to download but it does not offer the download of any cams.

I think you are getting mixed up, we all have hard drives in the dm800 as well.

To get to the download panel on the niablo image do this.

1. press the green button x 1
2. press the yellow button x 1
3. Select " Addons download Manager"
4. Select "Nabilo E2 Image Cams"

The only two buttons for recording directly on the Niablo image are
Red = Start a recording etc.
Yellow= Start to Timeshift
